Reconnecting your store

Occasionally Stockwik will ask you to reconnect your Shopify store. It's quick, and your data is safe — reconnecting just restores the secure link between Stockwik and Shopify.

Two situations

"Your store is disconnected" — this appears if Stockwik was uninstalled from your Shopify store. Reinstalling/reconnecting picks up right where you left off.

"Reconnect your store" (connection expired) — Shopify's secure connections refresh periodically, and occasionally one lapses. Your data is untouched; you just need to re-establish the link.

How to reconnect

  1. On the message, click Reconnect store.
  2. Approve the connection in Shopify (the standard permissions screen).
  3. You're returned straight to the app, fully connected — no need to set anything up again.
Note
If you'd rather switch accounts instead, there's a Sign out link on the same screen, so you're never trapped.

If it keeps happening

Reconnecting should resolve it. If you repeatedly see a reconnect prompt, make sure Stockwik is still installed in your Shopify admin (Settings → Apps), then reconnect once more.
